Die Illustrative habe ich das erste mal vor ein paar Jahren in Berlin besucht, als sie noch etwas kleiner war. Mittlerweile hat sich das Format etabliert und ist auch international herumgekommen 2007 in Paris und 2008 in Zürich. Dieses Jahr ist die Illustrative dann wieder bei den Wurzeln angekommen – Berlin. Die Illustrative 09 Berlin – International Illustration Forum, vom 16.10.-01.11.2009.
Wer zu diesem Zeitpunkt in Berlin ist und sich für Illustration interessiert, der sollte dort vorbeischauen. Ich bin ein absoluter Fan von dem Logo der Illustrative, bzw. dem minimalistisch reduzierten Design der Werbemaßnahmen. Illustration ist meist nicht reduziert sondern sehr verspielt – das Logo macht Lust dort vorbeizuschauen – was wohl auch das Ziel ist.
From the 16th of October to the 1st of November, works ranging from drawing, graphic prints, painting and monumental mural collages to graphically inspired 3D-illustrations, book art and animation will be on show.
